What is the Big Picture Education Graduation Portfolio?
At Five Islands Secondary College (FISC), all Big Picture students produce Portfolios that document their progress over a term, a year or their school career. The portfolio is a tangible record of the rich, enquiry-based, real-world learning that typifies a Big Picture student.
From Year 9 through to Year 12, students collect work in their portfolio that demonstrates their capacity to explore, research and develop as learners in their fields of personal interest.
Graduating students use their Portfolio to showcase their achievements and:
- seek an internship or apprenticeship
- obtain employment
- enter TAFE, the UOW College & other vocational education courses
- seek support for business ideas and inventions.
