Ceramics
Ceramics is the art and technology of forming, firing and glazing clay to make a wide variety of objects ranging from building materials to ceramic ware such as plates, bowls and drinking vessels, jewellery, sculpture and decorative wall surfaces. In this course students will learn ceramic skills through practical work and artist studies.
Photography
A practical and a theory based course which investigates various aspects of digital photography including camera operation, lighting, composition, darkroom procedures, printing and the theory behind the photographic process. This course is intended for students with an interest in photography as either a hobby or wishing to develop a portfolio of photographs for career options.
Visual arts
Visual Arts involves students in the practices of art making, art criticism and art history. Students will produce a portfolio of two and three dimensional artworks from a variety of media including Drawing, Painting, Sculpture, Ceramics and Photography. This course is intended for students with an interest in the Visual Arts and for the student who wishes to develop their artistic skills for further education and career options.
