The Retail Services courses offered in New South Wales provide students with an understanding of the retail industry, including the skills and knowledge required to effectively operate within this dynamic sector. The curriculum is divided into two main components: the Preliminary course (Year 11) and the HSC course (Year 12).

Preliminary Retail Services (Year 11)

The Preliminary course introduces students to the fundamental concepts of retail and the operations involved in running a retail business.

Key Areas of Study:

    Overview of the retail industry, its significance in the economy, and the various types of retail businesses (e.g., online, physical stores, and noun shops).

Students will have the opportunity to select from a range of elective topics that may include:

Assessment and Skills Development
