Anti – Bullying and Harassment

Five Islands Secondary College values the right of every student to learn. Our College is an inclusive environment, where diversity is affirmed and individual differences accepted. We respect the right of all to be safe at all times within this environment. We believe that everyone has the capacity to grow and learn, individually and collectively, from one another.

All students and the school community have a right to expect that their College will be a safe, happy and secure place. This is no place in our College for violence in all its forms and other anti-social behaviour.

FISC rejects all forms of bullying. An important part of wellbeing is that students and staff have the right to be treated fairly and with dignity in an environment free from disruption, intimidation, harassment, victimisation and discrimination. All members of the school community contribute to preventing bullying by modelling and promoting appropriate behaviour and respectful relationships. We say NO to bullying.
