In Week 7, 44 senior Big Picture students, along with Nathian, Wendy, Sarah, and Kayte, embarked on an unforgettable three-day excursion to Katoomba. Traveling by train, we immersed ourselves in the breathtaking landscapes and crisp mountain air of the Blue Mountains.
Highlights of our Journey -
Explored the stunning Blue Mountains National Park, marveling at iconic sights like the Three Sisters.
Experienced the exhilarating rides of Scenic World, including the Scenic Railway, Skyway, and Cableway.
Ventured into the lush Jamison Valley rainforest for an immersive nature experience.
Visited the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, where we engaged with the Dobell Drawing Prize exhibition and the interactive "Into the Blue" installation.
Enjoyed exploring Katoomba's unique shops on High Street and relaxing with hot chocolate in cozy cafes.
Spent evenings playing fireside games at the Katoomba YHA, creating lasting memories together.
This excursion not only enriched our students' experiences but also supported their Learning Goals and Outlearning requirements at Big Picture. They were exceptional ambassadors for FISC throughout the journey, making us proud every step of the way!
