Industrial Technology - Multimedia

Industrial Technology Multimedia seeks to raise students' awareness of the interaction between technology, industry, society and the environment, and to develop their ability to make value judgements about issues, decisions and problems arising from this interaction. Students achieve this by applying practical experiences to the study of the technology, management and organisation of industry.

Some of the key outcomes of this course are as follows. The student will be able to:

  • identify appropriate equipment, production and manufacturing techniques and describes the impact of new and developing technologies in industry
  • explain and justify decisions made during the designing/modifying and planning stages of a multimedia based Major Project.  Through this process the student will be able to select and justify appropriate materials to be used in the Major Project
  • incorporate a range of presentation skills and techniques in the development and production of the related folio
  • combine the application design, management and communication with industry related manufacturing technology in the production of a quality Major Project.

The major project will weighting of 60% towards the final HSC mark with a breakdown of 40 marks for the project itself and 20 marks for the project folio.
